Next THURSDAY 25th July from 10 am
Note:- this has changed from the previous notification due to the car park being used for parties, at the weekends along with other users. And during the week there is Pre-school, which finishes for the summer on Friday 19th July. In addition, it would be good to have the grounds for the MacMillan Afternoon Tea in the Garden on 3rd August. The church grounds and gardens have been neglected over the past year period and are now in need of some TLC. This is an opportunity to do something useful and inspiring and to share in fellowship – it really can be good fun All are welcome and we shall be working until mid-afternoon with a break for lunch. The jobs that need to be done are:-
Garden and outside
- Weed all around the car park and back of the church
- Trim the bushes at the front
- Trim the large Cypress trees by the car park
- Trim the forsythia at the back
- Support the plants at the front to keep them clear of the footpath
At the front
- Cut away the ivy from the tall trees and trim the buddleia
- Remove the Ivy from the garage
- Clean the ground-floor windows and sills
- Clean the front entrance doors and frames
And generally tidy up
Note – I shall be hiring in a skip
There are some garden tools and equipment, but feel free to bring your cleaning products and tools. It would be helpful if you could let me know if you are coming, and put your name down on the form at the back of the church. Many thanks – Rodney
