VE Day and WW2 Memories

Last Sunday Ian asked us what our memories of VE Day were. On VE Day I was 4 and a half
so was unable to appreciate the full extent of such an event although I knew it was very exciting and we were going to have a party

Easter and the resurrection of Jesus

Today, Easter day, the Christian Church is celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Perhaps we can begin to think and practice every Sunday
as “little Easters.” And in between each Sunday, maybe we should take time to focus on how the resurrection of Jesus is actually lived out in our lives during the following weeks and months.

Torch Trust for the Blind and Partially Sighted Fellowship Group Meeting

It was great that our monthly meeting fell on Palm Sunday this year. Last year it was two weeks later and so did not seem to be quite so appropriate and, of course, we can’t meet on Easter Sunday. We were delighted that Geoff. and Dee Larcombe were with us and Geoff. gave a very challenging talk.
